Annandale Plantation traces its roots to the 1790s. In 1833, the main plantation house was built and served as the main residence during the plantation’s years as a rice plantation. George Trenholm, the last Secretary of the Treasury of the Confederacy, bought the plantation in 1863 and it remained in the family until 1898. This note was used to pay for work performed on the plantation in the decades following the Civil War. This note is PMG Graded Very Fine 20 with a few small pinholes. ANA & SPMC member.
