Exceptional Paper Quality & Attractive Vignettes! The imprinted revenue stamp (Type RN-P5) dates the printing for notes from this series from the late 1860s to the 1870s. The basic note designs had been used beginning in the 1840s and were obviously considered for another round of service in the decade immediately after the end of the war (the imprinted revenue stamp is usually found on various documents dating between the late 1860s and early 1870s).
